Good Day.
I hope and pray that you are mentally, physically, and spiritually well today... and that you had an enjoyable and refreshing Labor Day weekend.
I frequently find myself feeling somewhat nostalgic this time of year. Perhaps it is due to my having been born this month of September.
This year, however, I find myself feeling a bit melancholy. Probably because I have reached (or am about to reach) what used-to-be-called my "Golden Years". That and the fact that this world is seemingly on the edge of yet another "World War". This one, however, seems to me, to be truly cataclysmic, in the Biblical sense.
I am sure that each generation has had a sense of "doom and gloom" throughout history. With different people groups acknowledging and responding according to their spiritual nature. Most have come to fruition to some degree or another. Yet not quite the "End of Days" that it was feared to be.
I also do not believe that everyone on Earth sensed an impending global disaster, due to their geographical location and other mitigating factors.
However, all things being what they are today, our world (in a sense) is much smaller that it ever has been in the past, due to our current technology -- both on Earth and in orbit around it.
That said, it would seem to me that the main crux (a main or central feature) of our technology, would be to enhance our ability and desire to meet the needs of ALL mankind. But alas, true to our basic nature which has failed to mature and become benevolent, we have merely advanced our weapons of war, in an effort to control the necessary and dwindling resources for ALL LIFE on this planet.
